Back to School and Loving It!

Wow! What a spectacular beginning of the school year we've had! I am so happy to have the students involved in a variety of projects they are busily working on. Currently, they are putting the finishing touches on their Imaginary Island Maps and Compositions.

Our Science Unit involves learning about the Metric System units of measurement: length, weight, capacity and temperature. The name of our latest lesson is, "Take Me to Your Liter". Take a look at this clip on Brainpop.com - http://www.brainpop.com/science/matterandchemistry/measuringmatter/

We just finished our Interview a Friend Project in which the students interviewed a classmate and wrote an article about them that will be included in a class book.
The students are working on writing skills such as writing complete sentences that have a subject and predicate.
